Do you think this would be a fun baby shower game?

To play “pin the baby on the mommy” like pin the tail on the donkey, but using a cutout of a pregnant woman and cutouts of babies. Closest to the tummy wins.

If you attended a shower where they played this game would you have fun or think it was stupid?

I’m giving my friend a shower next weekend and don’t know if I should do this game or not. I have 3 other games I’m doing. They are a memory game, a name the baby animal game, and a baby items word unscramble.
I can’t take credit for the idea, I read it on a baby site

my dad is a pastor of a church and there are only about 4 kids in it. i need some ideas to draw more kids in. we are looking for teens mostly atm because the kids we do have are toddlers so we need some teens :P

What can the RPG industry do to encourage more female gamers?

As a long time female gamer and game designer, I have always loved the creativity and spontaneity of roleplaying games. Traditional tabletop roleplaying games require quick thinking, imagination, and teamwork to achieve goals. While more women play RPGs now than ever before, there is still this notion that RPGs are a male-only sort of activity, and women often don’t even consider the hobby.

What steps do you think the industry could take to make the hobby more attractive to women?

What can teens do to separate from family and gain independence?

Our son is 14.5, he is homeschooled and wants to continue homeschooling. He’s been talking to a counselor because he feels depressed, however. She supports homeschooling, too, but said he needs to get out of the house more (he’s out all day 2x week, plus other days for a few hours at a time) away from the family. She wants me to get him to a subway station and let him go into the city to find his own interests and way. This sounds utterly bizarre to me, although I understand and support the goal behind her suggestion.

So, my question is, what kinds of activities can you suggest that would be growth promoting and yet still protective enough of a 14.5 year old. (He is 6′2″, 229 pounds, so I’m not too worried about physical safety, tho I am somewhat.) Mostly, I am interested in activities that help him move towards independence but that are still appropriately supervised. Shouldn’t 14.5 year olds still be supervised?????
He does lots of chores, he’s in theatre, takes classes, plays a musical instrument, hangs with friends.
He can’t work at his age. He is totally not into sports.
